Amy Burgess, M.Ed.

Educational Consultant

Amy is a tenured school counselor with over 20 years of experience at the elementary, middle and high school levels in both independent and public school settings.  As an Educational Consultant, she prioritizes the client/consultant relationship, providing focused, thorough and personalized attention for students who learn differently.  She consistently employs her deep institutional knowledge as a school counselor to the benefit of her clients, supporting them in a meaningful way as they navigate course selection, graduation requirements and all aspects of their daily school experience.  Amy strives to expertly guide students and families through what can often be a challenging and confusing post-high school planning process.  Through targeted attention to detail, thorough research and intentionally kind and data-driven strategies, Amy offers clients and families an opportunity to identify best fit post-secondary options.

As the mother of 2 grown sons and a third in middle school, Amy likewise has first-hand experience with the daily challenges and joys of preparing children for what comes next and all that entails.  She holds a BS in Applied Sociology from East Carolina University and a Master’s degree in Education from Loyola University in Maryland.
