Sam Prince , M.A.Ed
Executive Function Coach and College Consultant

Sam is an Executive Function Coach and College Consultant with over a decade of experience in education. His professional background includes classroom teaching, undergraduate admissions counseling, executive function coaching, college essay coaching, and professional tutoring. Sam specializes in supporting students across a wide range of learning profiles and processing strengths. He earned his degree in Creative Writing from Bard College, with a focus in literary nonfiction, and later completed a Master of Arts in Education at the University of Colorado Denver with a concentration in Early Literacy.

Throughout his career, Sam has experience working with clients across elementary, secondary, and young adult stages. Today, he primarily supports teenagers and young adults diagnosed with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, ASD, APD, and executive dysfunction challenges. With his calm demeanor, Sam helps students strengthen the skills they need to navigate school with more independence, confidence, and self-awareness. By introducing practical systems and strategies tailored to each student’s needs, Sam helps them create habits and routines that lead to measurable success over time.

Sam also brings a values-based approach to college consulting. Whether a student is beginning the college search or considering a transfer, he helps them identify what matters most and finds schools that truly reflect their goals, needs, and personality. He believes that when students better understand themselves, they are far more likely to find the right fit.

Regardless of which hat he’s wearing, Sam’s style is warm, holistic, and student-centered. He believes meaningful progress starts with relationship-building, curiosity, and creating a space where students feel seen and supported. He is committed to meeting each student where they are and helping them move forward in a way that feels both realistic and empowering.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys reading, spending time with his cat Neville Longbottom, and exploring Portland, OR with his partner, Marta. He also serves on the board of a soccer-based nonprofit and loves cheering on the Portland Thorns and Timbers!
